Zoom Tool and Lock Scholar's View on Workspace

Both tutors and students have a zoom tool to enable them to zoom into specific areas within the workspace.

The zoom tool is accessible by clicking the magnifying glass. Once the menu opens, you can select either Fit, Zoom In, or Zoom out.

  • Fit - Adjust the zoom to fit the workspace shown
  • Zoom In - Zoom in to get greater detail in an area. This can be accomplished by clicking where you wish to zoom into, or by dragging an area to zoom in to.
  • Zoom Out - Zoom out to get a greater view of the canvas space. This can be accomplished by clicking anywhere on the canvas.

The tutor has the additional functionality of locking the student’s view to their own, using the lock on “Scholar’s View.” The default behavior is that each user (tutor and student) has independent control over what they are viewing on their screen. When Scholar's View is locked, then the tutor has control over what the student is viewing, and the student is not able to zoom or move around within the workspace. Please keep in mind that the tutor has default control over which page the students view, but by default the students have control over what aspect of the page they choose to view, or zoom into and out of.
