Enabling recording for in-person sessions
Saga Connect can also be used during in-person tutoring sessions. When the session audio is recorded, the platform can generate the same transcripts, AI analysis, and feedback that are available for online sessions.
Video is not required for in-person sessions. Audio recording is enough for the analysis.
When using this setup, the tutor and students are together in a classroom. Each participant logs into Saga Connect on their own device and joins the same session. The microphones are enabled so the conversation can be captured.
What you need
- Saga Connect access for all participants
- Saga Connect session configured
- A Chromebook or laptop for the tutor
- A Chromebook or laptop for each student
- Microphones enabled on the devices
How to run an in-person session with Saga Connect
1. Everyone logs into Saga Connect
The tutor and each student should log into Saga Connect on their own device.
2. Join the same session
The tutor and students should join the same Saga Connect session.
3. Turn on the microphone
Each participant should enable their microphone so the conversation can be captured.
4. Mute device audio output
Mute the device volume on all computers to prevent feedback or echo. (Note: this is done on the computer, not in Saga Connect.)
5. Run the tutoring session as normal
The tutor and students can run the tutoring session normally in the classroom. Saga Connect will capture the session audio and generate transcripts, AI analysis, and feedback after the session ends.
